Lexington Tree Solutions has been a family-owned tree service for Lexington and Lexington County for 26 years. Tree removal, tree trimming, and stump grinding are what we do best, for homes and businesses alike. George Phillips started with a crew of 4. Today, we’re 40 crew members and 8 administrative staff strong. And we still run on three values: commitment, consistency, and community. Every crew member is trained and licensed, and our team includes ISA Certified Arborists. We’re fully insured with general liability and workers’ compensation, and we hold a Town of Lexington business license.
Here’s how it works. You’ll get a fast estimate in 1 to 3 days. Most tree removals run about $400 to $1,500 and wrap up in a day, while stump grinding typically runs $150 to $400 per stump and takes just a few hours. We ask for 35 to 50% to start, and the rest is due once the job is finished to your satisfaction. Whether it’s one hazardous tree or a whole property, we’ll treat your yard like our own. When you work with Lexington Tree Solutions, we guarantee a safe, clean tree removal that eliminates the hazard, mess, and stress of dead, fallen, or unwanted trees on your property. We handle single-tree and multiple-tree jobs, from large backyard trees to ones threatening your roof or driveway, using precise tree cutting and cutting-down techniques. Using careful rigging and crane-assisted lowering when needed, every job ends with full cleanup and debris haul-away, leaving your yard clear.

Our trimming specialists fix overgrown trees, dead and broken branches, and hanging limbs before minor issues turn into costly removals or property damage. Depending on what your trees need, we use selective pruning to remove problem limbs, structural and crown pruning to strengthen growth, or clearance pruning to open up your driveway, roof, and pedestrian and sight lines. Every cut follows ANSI A300 standards, with careful tree shaping that keeps your trees healthy and attractive.
Lexington Tree Solutions grinds old and dead stumps below grade using a commercial stump grinder, eliminating the trip hazards, pests, and eyesores left behind after tree removal. Whether you have one stump or multiple stumps across your whole yard, we use deep grinding when needed and explain grinding vs. removal so you pick the right fit. Stump chips can become mulch, and we clear debris, then backfill with soil so your lawn is ready to use.

Our emergency tree removal crews respond fast, 24/7, to storm-damaged and storm-fallen trees, including a tree on your house, roof, or car, and heavy limbs blocking your driveway. By opting for immediate make-safe work, tarping, crane and bucket truck removal, and careful cutting, we protect your home, property, and family during any 24-hour emergency, then clear all storm debris so your post-storm recovery can start right away.

You do not have to live with a hazardous tree just because a crew lacks the right tools. Our Lexington team safely removes storm-damaged trees, including broken and hanging limbs and any hazard threatening your roof, structure, or driveway. We use climbing, bucket truck, and crane access for precise hazard-limb removal, lowering each limb in controlled sections so your home and family stay protected from start to finish, with no surprises.

A safe commercial property starts with removing hazard and dead trees before they cause damage, liability, or downtime. This clears common areas, parking lots, and walkways, keeping tenants, customers, and staff protected and your property looking its best. Lexington Tree Solutions serves HOAs, apartment complexes, offices, retail properties, and business properties, working with property managers on scheduling and access, using crane, lift, and grapple truck equipment, plus removal and stump grinding in one visit.

Our team trims and prunes overgrown trees for office parks, apartment complexes, HOAs, and other managed properties, keeping every common area safe, open, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Using clearance pruning, selective pruning, and structural pruning, we remove each dead branch and hazardous branch before it threatens tenants, customers, vehicles, or buildings, while coordinating schedules and site access with property managers to keep your daily operations running smoothly with minimal disruption.

To clear the trip hazards and eyesores left behind after tree removal, our Lexington crews use a powerful commercial stump grinder to cut multiple stumps below grade across HOAs, apartment complexes, and other common areas. The finished job includes thorough chip removal of all stump chips and debris, or leaves clean mulch where you want it, giving your property a safe, level, polished look that’s ready for mowing, replanting, or new construction right away.

Lexington Tree Solutions responds to emergency storm damage at parking lots, business properties, and HOAs, clearing each fallen tree fast so access, safety, and normal operations are restored quickly. By deploying crane and bucket truck crews, heavy debris loading, and organized post-storm removal of logs, brush, and storm debris, we keep your property safe, open, and ready for customers, tenants, and residents, while limiting liability and downtime after every storm.

Our team removes hazard trees, including dead and storm-damaged ones, that threaten parking lots, common areas, and pedestrian areas, helping you avoid injuries, costly vehicle damage, and liability claims. Each commercial job uses careful, precise hazard-limb removal, with crane and bucket truck access where needed. We also coordinate schedules and site safety with property managers so your tenants, customers, and staff stay protected and your daily operations keep running smoothly.

Our clearance pruning crews cut back overgrown trees, deadwood, and hazardous branches so hidden problems like blocked sight lines or low limbs do not cause accidents or damage at your retail property or office park. Using selective pruning, structural pruning, and precise clearance pruning, we restore sight and pedestrian clearance and vehicle clearance for delivery trucks, customers, and staff, following ANSI A300 standards so every tree stays healthy, safe, and attractive.
Lexington Tree Solutions holds a Town of Lexington business license, along with general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. This matters because tree work is risky. If a limb damages your roof or a crew member is injured on your property, insurance keeps you from paying the bill.
Our team includes ISA Certified Arborists and ISA Certified Tree Workers/Climber Specialists. We also hold the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), plus ISA Municipal and Utility Specialist credentials. These credentials show that our crews know tree biology, safe pruning, and how to judge risk, so you aren’t paying for guesswork or damage to a healthy tree.
We are a TCIA Accredited Company, our team includes a TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), and we follow the ANSI Z133 safety standard. For you, that means fewer accidents, less property damage, and a crew that works to a recognized industry standard.
Our credentials cover pesticide application, heavy-truck operation, crane work, and utility, municipal, and right-of-way jobs. Anyone doing this work needs a Clemson commercial applicator license, a CDL, NCCCO crane certification, and line-clearance training or permits. Hiring a crew that has them keeps your project legal and gets the job done right the first time.
Every tree is different, so we make a few key decisions before the first cut. Here is how our crew thinks through your job.

Climb, bucket truck, or crane
We look at the tree's height, lean, and surroundings to choose the safest way up. A climber can reach many trees without heavy equipment, while a bucket truck or crane may be the better choice for tall, leaning, or hard-to-reach trees. The right choice protects your crew and your property.

If there is open space, we can often drop the tree in one piece. Near a house, fence, or garden, we lower it in sections with ropes and rigging so nothing gets damaged. We choose the method before work begins, not on the fly.

Not every problem tree has to come down. If the damage is limited, targeted pruning can fix it and keep the tree healthy and in place. If the tree is too far gone, we'll tell you plainly and explain why removal is the safer choice.

Grinding cuts the stump below grade and is fast and tidy. Full removal digs out the stump and root ball, which makes sense if you're building or planting over the spot. We recommend the method based on what you plan to do with the space.

Before we start, we check driveway clearance, power lines, nearby structures, and where equipment and debris will go. A good plan keeps the job smooth, and it keeps your yard and your neighbors' yards safe.

People use the terms interchangeably, and in our business they overlap. Trimming usually means keeping a tree tidy and in bounds, while pruning is the more targeted work of improving a tree’s health and structure. Which one you need depends on what the tree is doing.
Selective pruning removes specific branches that are crossing, rubbing, or crowding, so the tree stays healthy and keeps its natural shape.
Structural pruning guides young and maturing trees toward strong branch attachment, which lowers the chance of limbs failing in storms
Clearance pruning opens space above driveways, roofs, walkways, and sight lines.
Deadwood and hazardous limbs should come off promptly. Dead, broken, or hanging branches can drop without warning onto your roof, car, or family.
Topping means cutting large limbs back to stubs. The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) advises against it because it stresses the tree, invites decay, and triggers weak, fast-growing shoots that break easily. The ANSI A300 pruning standards point to proper cuts, such as selective reduction, instead. Our crews follow those standards.
Some trees can’t be saved by cuts. Consider removal if you see:
If you’re unsure, talk to one of our Lexington Tree Solutions specialists. We’ll tell you plainly whether your tree needs pruning or removal.

“A storm took down a big oak right across my driveway and clipped the corner of my roof. I called Lexington Tree Solutions in a panic, and the crew was out the same day. They cut the tree into sections so nothing else got damaged, hauled off every limb, and even raked the yard when they finished. I didn’t have to ask for anything twice.”
Homeowner retired schoolteacher, Lexington, SC

“We manage 120 units, and we had overgrown trees hanging over the walkways and parking areas. The crew walked the property with me first and explained exactly which branches had to go and why. They worked around our residents’ schedule and kept the walkways clear, so nobody had a problem getting home. The property looks better and I’m not worried about a limb coming down anymore.”
Property Manager, apartment community

“We had a dead tree at the edge of our parking lot, and I was nervous about a customer getting hurt. The crew showed up on time, blocked off the area, and had the tree down and the stump ground out in one visit. They cleaned up all the chips before we opened the next morning. It was easy, and I didn’t lose any business.”
